The fretwork technique

Fretwork is the process of making holes, following a pre-established design, on metal. Fretwork creates solids and voids as desired.
Many pieces of jewelry are made using openwork.
Fretwork is a craft that consists of cutting and drilling thin metal sheets with small steel blades. The various parts thus obtained are assembled with small welding points, finished and polished.
This allows for a very light object, weighing less than half of an object made through casting.
Being handcrafted, it is a technique that guarantees maximum precision and careful and particular workmanship.
